plot
King Arthur is
not having the best of times keeping his Knights in line, so he assembles
the majority of this dissolute mob at the round table. Also present is his
sexually-frustrated wife, Lady Guinevere, and his exceeding camp High
Steward, Sir Gay. Another notable presence (mostly due to the smell) is
Sir Pureheart, who has vowed not to remove his armour until he becomes the
top knight in the land. He has been trying so far for seven years. Then
unexpectedly, the evil Black Knight turns up and demands a duel with King
Arthur. Thankfully for King Arthur, Sir Pureheart accepts but there are
conditions. If he defeats the Black Knight, the other members of the Round
Table must take a vow of chastity, temperance and virtue.
review
Bernard Bresslaw's first appearance in the series and it makes you
wonder why he bothered. This episode is awful.
