plot
It's the middle of the English Civil war, and military leader Oliver
Cromwell and his army of Roundheads are fighting King Charles and his
Cavaliers. Caught up in the middle of these proceedings is Sir Jethro who
has received letters from both sides threatening chattel sequestration if
he supports the other side, therefore he's keen to be on the winning side.
Unfortunately this is proving to be a more tricky task than anticipated as
his bother-in-law Lovelace is a dedicated Royalist and is hiding out in
the house disguised as the cook. With the Roundheads closing in, the
sticky situation becomes even stickier.
review
An OK romp. Nothing to write home about though. Again, the
regulars are good, but the script lets them down. Are you seeing a pattern
emerge?
