Information
The Carry On's quest for world domination continued apace in 1973 with a
stage show being produced. Entitled Carry On London, it recruited six of
the stars from the films and plonked them on the London stage for an 18
month run.
Three years later and they're were some goings on in Scarborough for their
summer season.
Whilst Carry On Columbus was being shot in 1992, both Bernard Bresslaw and
Barbara Windsor were on stage in Blackpool.
Also worthy of a mention is the play 'Cleo, Camping, Emmanuelle and Dick',
which was performed at the National Theatre in 1998. This tale covered the
story of Sid James' and Barbara Windsors' affair. It was transferred to
television a couple of years later but retitled 'Cor Blimey'. It was a
well made piece but had a host of inaccuracies that are too numerous to go
into detail here.
